Second leg, of the Romanian Cup semifinals, between FC Brasov and FC Steaua. The first leg ended with a scoreless draw. In the last years, Steaua has managed to win five time against FC Brasov in Romanian Cup, but FC Brasov won in Liga I with 3-0 ar Steaua and draw 1-1 at Tineretului Stadium. In the last four meetings at Brasov, both team score very few goals. In the last 5 games, all matches eneded with Under 2.5 goals, and for today's game, I see the same, even a draw at half time.

If Japan are beaten in this opening match I’ll be extremely disappointed. A draw certainly wouldn’t be the end of the world with two matches to come, but a win could signal a real intent in this tournament, and is really what Japan should be looking to achieve. Japan need to hit the ground running to get what could be a successful campaign off to a great start.

- Qatar are desperate to prove themselves on the big stage, especially as hosts. Their recent Asian Games and Gulf Cup excursions provide useful pointers for how the group phase may play out: "Al-Annabi" (the Maroons) defeated Kuwait but lost to Uzbekistan, then lost to Kuwait at the Gulf Cup while crashing out in the first round. A small playing base continues to hinder their attempts at progress, and despite some high-profile "imports" they remain only a sporadic threat.
- Uzbekistan are expected to play a physical game and coach Vadim Abramov will want his defence to shore up-they have not kept a clean sheet since their September 2009 draw against Iran. Since Abramov took over, Uzbekistan have only won once in seven games, a 4-2 away win at Bahrain in October.
- Qatar have made seven appearances in the Asian Cup and their best performance has been a last eight finish in 2000. But they are coached by Bruno Metsu, the man who orchestrated Senegal’s stunning upset of France at the 2002 World Cup and who certainly knows a thing or two of how to get the best out of his players.

Today, it is possible to see Steaua for the last time this year in a championship game. As you know, the LPF will announce today if the 19th stage will be playing this year or next year. Lacatus has a chance today to approach the podium at three points, but the situation the team is not a rose one. Even with a victory today, the chances for him to remain at the team next year are quite small. Steaua probably will won today, but will not be a easy one. I do not think they have the power to win on more than two goals difference.

Things are quite clear in this match. Personally I see a single sign, namely a victory for the hosts.
